3 weeks and still going…
January 30, 2006well, technically it’s the start of my 3rd week at the gym and all seems to be going relatively well. my goal right now is to go 3x a week and to hop on the treadmill for 20 min at least. i’ve been doing some weights on the side as well… but i’m more focused on building up strength in my knee semi-slowly.
the trainer i have… well, last tuesday, he basically kicked my butt. 3 days later, i was still quite sore… lol. (see, he was a competitive soccer player for something like 15 years, and apparently the fact that at one time i was a HS athlete has given him free rein to push me beyond belief!) i have one “starter session” left, but haven’t set it up yet - i wanted to stop popping ibuprofin and walk correctly again first!
let’s see. other than that, not much going on. work, gym after work somedays, come home tired. this week and next should be fun though. this friday jennifer (coworker) and i are going to the auto show to meet carl edwards finally (remember the indoor sprint car race that didn’t happen back in dec? if this falls through, i think i’m gonna snap.) and then next weekend another coworker and i have tickets to the keith urban concert at MSU. i haven’t been to a concert since early october, so i’m due for one. lol
hmm… i know there’s something else…
<a few minutes later…>
oh yeah. the post idea i’ve had in mind for a week now.
back when i worked for oxygen, our cable company didn’t carry it. it drove me insane, feeling like i was always “missing out” on what was going on with the show i was asst. community manager for. well after sept. 11, oxygen did a restructure and trackers got axed (and all of us got axed… wait, um, i think it was “laid off”… as well). anyway - out of the blue, dish network picked up oxygen a few weeks ago. i think i’ve watched 15 min worth since. for all i care, dish network now has my permission to drop the feed. the network was much better in ‘01. lol
