the nerve…

i’m so ticked at a diecast place right now it’s not even funny.

i ordered a carl edwards car from a company on november 19th because he’s going to be here racing next weekend (17th) and since he’s my favorite cup driver, i wanted to get a decent-quality car autographed. plus a few weeks ago, my mom confessed that she’s been talking to the pres. of the promotion company to try to make sure i get to meet him while he’s here - and not just some little 10-seconds-while-in-a-huge-autograph-line thing.

november 21st i got an email from them saying my order was processed, but due to the thanksgiving holiday, “it should be shipped the 28th”. (for the record, when i ordered it, it was listed as in-stock on their website)

as of 5 minutes ago, my order status STILL says “processed” but not shipped.

tuesday night, i fired off a civil email using their contact form (which states “Our friendly Customer Service staff will contact you within 1-3 business days”) basically asking WHERE WAS MY CAR AND WHY DOESN’T THEIR SITE SAY IT’S SHIPPPED?!?! (it’s shipping from TN.) yesterday was the 3rd business day and i haven’t gotten an answer back.

so i resorted to their 1-800# yesterday. however, because “we do not have any live operators on our Toll Free number but feel free to call us.” all you can do is leave a msg. and they’ll get back to you. and of course, no call back yet.

it’s cutting it DANG close now. so close that i’m going to have to order the car from somewhere else, and pay an arm and a leg in 2nd day (or something similar) shipping charges that i shouldn’t have to. and what ticks me off the most is that I ORDERED THIS CAR ALMOST A MONTH IN ADVANCE SO THIS WOULDN’T BE A PROBLEM!!!!!

so obviously i’m thinking a complaint with the TN better business bureau and getting a chargeback done on my credit card. anything else you can think of that i can do? i want them to be well aware of how bad they screwed me…
