the long-overdue(?) update post

it’s easy to sum up the last few weeks (and next few) in one word: busy.

my workload at the office has gone back and forth from swamped to having nothing to do… but the swamped side has been happening a lot more.

the next few weeks outside of work should be fairly busy, too. one of the designers at my office and i picked up a freelance job for a builder here in GR. she’s doing all the layout and actual page building (we’re doing 2 sites), i’m programming the email forms, setting up the hosting and email accounts. i should make a small, yet fair amount of money off it… which i can definitely use!

then there’s all the concerts. tomorrow i’m going to jo dee messina/charlie daniels band down at the allegan county fair… next friday (23rd) is keith anderson at the intersection… then october 1st is randy travis at van andel arena.

and then after all that, on october 7th, i leave for SC until the 17th. yes, that’s an extra day longer than the last 2 years, we’re going to stay in the charlotte/hickory area for an extra day on the way back as far as i know.

yesterday, i also got something done that i’ve wanted for awhile. no, no tattoos or piercings or anything (ew!), i got my car windows tinted! the fronts aren’t legal, which i’m aware of - i had to sign a form saying it wasn’t but i wanted it done anyway. (in MI, the legal limit is tint on the top 4″ of the driver/front passenger windows.) he had pics of cars done with it, but i didn’t like how it looked.. so i’m risking it. enough people around here have full fronts done anyway, so i’m not as paranoid.

that’s about all that’s going on… nothing too interesting!
