stupid fedex!
June 10, 2005i cannot believe this.
ok, i ordered a second battery for my new digital camera a few days ago (wed. night), for when i’m at MIS next saturday and will probably need it. i got the tracking number thursday afternoon, and it’s shipping from IL. the estimated delivery date (which was today) was definitely tolerable. heck, i’ve had stuff sent ground that’s gotten from further away to GR overnight though.
so i checked the tracking info this morning, and it just listed the pickup on thurs. from champaign, IL. the first indication that something wasn’t right was that it listed the delivery date as the 11th (which i knew wouldn’t happen, since fedex only delivers on saturdays if you pay a fortune).
for the heck of it, i just checked it now. and apparently it took EIGHTEEN HOURS to get from champaign to chicago!!! (that’s about 133 miles according to yahoo maps.)
so now they’re saying TUESDAY delivery. what, do they plan to screw off this weekend and then get it from chicago to GR on tuesday? or did it get shipped under the friggin turtle classification?
if i don’t have it by wednesday (which is when the berlin race is), fedex is gonna get an earful from me, that’s for sure.
(i swear, i thought netgear was the most incompetent company out there! but from the looks of this, i may have to change my vote…)
One Response to “stupid fedex!”
That ALWAYS happens, especially when you want something by a certain date.
My sister ordered a bathing suit that said it was in stock and then gets an e-mail today saying it shipped but oops the bottom is cancelled. Like she wants HALF a bathing suit. Companies suck sometimes.
I just had an ordeal with Interpunk, who is usually awesome. I ordered black converse lowtops but got the wrong size and had to return them, then they send me the right since in ALL BLACK which was just HIDEOUS and not what I ordered so I had to return them AGAIN. Finally have the right ones several weeks after ordering them and after paying for shipping 3 times! Grrrrr….
