now that spring’s here

i guess that means i should get my butt in gear and attempt to come up with a new layout… but really, don’t count on seeing one for a few weeks at the earliest.. lol

not much is going on. i’ve been working on a large, tedious project since the 11th at work which i just finished up before lunch today, so i’m happy about that. outside of work, there’s been unnecessary excitement, i guess you could say, at home since friday - in the form of mice in the pantry. a few traps later, i think we’ve got them all. which is a good thing, because they were ripping into bags of popcorn, potato chips, etc. and we had to throw out all that stuff. the other thing i’ve been doing a fair amount lately is watching march madness games. i wish one of grand valley’s games would be televised though (they’re in the elite 8 of the women’s div. II playoffs.)

unrelated: it’s been interesting reading random blogs or talking to random people lately (no jared, this has nothing to do with you)… and seeing how much some people have seriously screwed up mindsets. where one of their actions is nothing short of sabotaging something else in their life, and they’re too oblivious to notice… or they’re proud of behavior that i consider nothing short of reprehensible and if something bad was to happen as a result, as mean as it is, i’d have one dang hard time feeling sorry for them because ITS THEIR OWN FRIGGIN FAULT!

ok… enough of that.

this weekend, i picked up another set of tickets too. i don’t know whether to consider it a good thing or bad that so many good shows/events are in GR this year. either way, i’m glad i’m not making car payments anymore so i can go to the good ones. let’s see… i’ve been to 4 griffins games this season and the george strait/dierks bentley/amber dotson concert so far… then next thursday’s the kenny chesney/gretchen wilson concert… april 16th’s american accent’s CD release party at the intersection… bill engvall tickets for june (those are the ones i bought this weekend)… and tim mcgraw in july. i think all that will hold me over for awhile. (i should have MIS truck race tickets soon as well, and then of course i’ll be going to the usual berlin events.) i don’t think i’ve ever been to that much in a year… let alone less than 10 months!
