grr.

four things have annoyed me lately.

most significantly, the idiotic spammers are back - both on the version of WP (1.5) i have running for Jared in the form of comments, and on here (1.2 still) as trackback spam. i ran queries on the database to close comments and trackbacks on anything before jan 1 of this year, so hopefully that will help. plus i put a copy of spam karma on here to see if anything useful happens.

secondly, last night i realized that the craftsman truck series race @ MIS that my mom and i are planning on going to is the same day as birthday bash (big & rich are rumored to be headlining). obviously the truck race wins in the priority list, but i wanted to go to birthday bash for the first time this year, too, dang it! (birthday bash is basically where the main country station here brings up a bunch of artists and throws a free concert at some fairgrounds.)

(these next two are aimed at no one in particular, i swear.)

third, i cannot stand psychological dependence. it might be why i think the way i do about marriage out of high school or during the first 2 years of college especially… and it might not. i don’t know.

and finally, it has always driven me up a wall when people complain that they’re broke yet they blow HOW much money on a regular basis on alcohol?! c’mon people, you have a choice, and i fully respect that. just please don’t whine to me though when your choices put you in the situation that it did.

my george strait/dierks bentley concert is thursday night! now if only someone would announce ticket information for the gretchen wilson/kenny chesney concert soon…
