anti-spambots!

post title explanation: i’m getting SO freaking sick of getting spam comments posted on here! i know it could be a LOT worse, if i hadn’t done what i have to stop as much as i can, but still. they’re not showing up on my site at least, so my comment moderation blacklist’s worked (and nothing that’s supposed to go through has been caught yet). as a result, i’ve locked down a few more posts (from october).

i guess you could say i’ve had a few interesting things happen lately, but nothing too earth-shatteringly exciting. well, yet.

most importantly, i think i found out what was causing the unexplained headaches. after one night of being in agony, i figured it must be my sinuses based on where the pain was. a few doses of tylenol cold over the weekend and it seems to have worked! if only i’d figured this out 2 months ago…

this past saturday, i went to a holiday open house at my grandparents’ retirement complex. (my dad was supposed to go instead, but my mom roped me into going with her so he could work on stuff around the house.) which meant more of my uncle’s teasing, but at least i can usually fire back some appropriate replies.

got my hair recolored last night - really blond highlights and brown “lowlights”, to try to get rid of the all-blond ends from when i used to mega-highlight it all. i was going to post a new cam pic (yes, finally) but i haven’t decided whether i actually like the color or not - i may go get the dark stuff redone (lighter). and THEN i’ll put up a new pic.

nothing really planned for this week… just a griffins game saturday night - and i will be meeting kasey there! (since my favorite driver isn’t in nextel cup now, i picked a new guy to pull for instead. that would be kasey.)

i’ll be trying to get some of my christmas cards done this weekend, too. i have maybe 25% of them done, but none have been mailed out. and of course, that means i have a good-sized stash to get done.

and my brother put his 2 weeks in at work… he’ll be done after saturday, so hopefully either sunday or next weekend, we can go to chicago for the day again (my family’s done this the last 2 years around christmas).

anyway…

i have become a launch addict while i’m at work… right now, my “station” has 20,675 ratings entered for it. it’s not many compared to one of my subscribers, who has 478k, but… *shrug* it works for me!

and on an unrelated note… we haven’t really gotten any snow since that dumping a few weeks ago - i think we’re at 16″ so far this year. i’m definitely not complaining!

one more thing: jared, your “stupid person post” is dead on!!!
