yes, i’m back

and overall it was a good vacation.

to summarize it…

went through indiana, ohio, kentucky and tennessee the first day… then through the rest of tennessee, north and south carolina to the condo the next. the weather was pretty good (mostly mid-upper 70’s and then 84 on thursday, but low 60’s and pretty breezy friday), so i got to spend a few good hours laying out at the pool during the week. (not that it did much because i’m so pale to begin with though! lol). and we drove up to charlotte tuesday to go to a few race shops.

while we were there, we ended up buying a second timeshare week at another marriott resort (on the island) that’s being built - so we’ll use the new one starting in 2006, and then either “rent” for cash our week at the one my grandpa owns (which is going to be legally given to us), or trade it in for points (which you later trade for nights at marriott hotels or even full vacations somewhere else in the world). basically we’re theoretically set with big vacations for the rest of our lives if we keep doing that.. lol

anyway. we stopped off in hickory on the way back for the night, and FINALLY got to meet jared. we got up early (6am) sunday morning and drove the rest of the way home, since i had to work monday. and in some form of payback, i’m sure, work has been very busy since i got back.

random fact: one year ago today (not date-wise, but the tuesday after we got back) i had my first interview at s:i. looking back on everything since then, i definitely think it was the best move.
