ok, i swear, one of these days people better learn how to drive in MI!

yesterday morning, i got stuck in a lovely “half-hour to go 4 miles” traffic nightmare on the highway. someone had rear-ended the car in front of them, therefore pretty much giving the poor person no remaining trunk. unfortunately, i was in no position to be able to duck off the highway, drive to an on-ramp a few miles down, and get on there. surprisingly enough though, i was only 15 min late to when i got to my desk - but really, being a few minutes late here doesn’t matter to anyone… lol.

i thought that was bad enough.

until TODAY.

this time, i was able to get to the off ramp. however, it took 15 minutes to get from the top of the freaking off ramp to the street. now, if i had to estimate, i’d say it’s 1000 feet or so? so i got to the bottom of that by 8:23 (note: i’m supposed to be at work by 8:30). then i spent another 8 or so minutes getting to the other on-ramp - while hoping and praying that getting on there would get me past where the accident was (which would have been the case if i’d have had room to take the same route yesterday). oh, but of course not! so i got to deal with an extra 2 1/2 miles or so after THAT on-ramp to where the cops & tow truck was. (i still can’t figure if the person flipped their car on its side, or what, because the roof was crunched down kinda in a V shape… it was strange)

i think i got to a spot in the ramp at 8:47 or so, and i know i got to my desk before 9.

if this happens tomorrow, i will go even more spastic.
