entry #200
January 27, 2004well, since everyone’s getting here late due to the miserable weather, i figured i’d put up a fairly quick entry.
not a lot to report, as usual. let’s see… 2 weekends ago, i did end up reformatting my computer. (i STILL need to email you julie, i’m sorry i haven’t yet. but most of the suggestions i found on the ‘net that i tried didn’t work.) i also got a wireless router and network card at compusa for my laptop (hey, an instant rebate, a mail-in rebate, + 10% off saved me a ton). so far, i love being able to be on the computer but sitting on the couch watching the wings game, or somewhere else in the house.
i also can say that almost everything that i need to do in advance (airfare, hotel) for nyc is taken care of. that makes it a lot easier, less things to worry about! (edit 1/28 - my vacation request at work was just approved, as well… that helps, too!) ![]()
this past weekend was quite interesting, and tiring. when we moved into our house 15+ years ago, there was a bathroom in the basement - but we ripped it out when we finished the basement off, planning to put a smaller one (and one that wasn’t atrociously ugly) in. well we’re finally getting around to it. we had a plumber come in on saturday and rip up the concrete to run the pipes, and then we had to mix up concrete to patch everything up. well, in the process, we found out that the floor isn’t level (the sides are higher than the middle by at least 2″). 15 bags (60 pounds a bag) later, and we’re still not done. and i’m incredibly sore… lol
plus, my new thing is going to be pilates. jess from clip-clop says it really works, so i’m going to ease into it and then do the number of everything she recommended - and hope it works for me, too. it’s really not that i’m the “i want to drop (x) pounds” type, i just want to tone up quite a bit. and my knee’s been consistently acting up for the past month, so the nordic track is out of the question for now. grrrr for that. but yeah, i hope it works. sashy’s going to do it too, so hopefully we’ll be able to trade suggestions or whatever. ![]()

laptops really come in handy. The only bad thing with mine is I have to hook everything up to it so it isn’t very mobile anymore. That’s terrible that your floor isn’t level at least you caught it in time to fix it before anything else. Oh and I hope the pilates excercises work out for you.
