vacation planning = stress!
January 19, 2004i swear, i don’t know if someone’s out to make my NYC trip extremely chaotic, or what.
i want to book everything really soon, so prices don’t go up and so i can get the flights/hotel i want. so i was sitting on the couch with my laptop (i got a wireless router and network card yesterday - i love that thing already, it’s ridiculous! lol) and on Northwest’s site pretty much ready to book my flights (since i had been on it last weekend, printing up potential flights), since i had decided what i wanted to do.
so i go through and do a search for those, and discover the price pretty much skyrocketed over the course of 6 days (from $190 roundtrip to like $330 or so). of course i was pretty ticked, to say the least - which meant i spent a good 3 hours between orbitz, cheaptickets, yahoo travel, expedia, etc. looking for other options that wouldn’t cost an arm and a leg. well, i came up with a whole ONE other option, but one that i wasn’t really happy with (since it’d be a pretty small plane, not an airline i have 18k frequent flier miles - almost a free ticket - on, and going through an airport i’ve never been to - cleveland).
so i resorted back to northwest’s site, scouring EVERYTHING at remotely respectable times. and i don’t know if i clicked the right combination or what… but came across the flight after the one i wanted getting to NYC, and then the same NY-GR flight. for $211.
needless to say, it’s booked.
now i just have to wait until a hotel i emailed gets back to me, and i should be able to book that too, and be all set. finally.
