friday five, birthday
November 8, 2002First, the birthday recap.
Well, I didn’t do much real partying yesterday, actually. Didn’t drink a drop of alcohol either. And it was completely my choice, not because I couldn’t have done it if I had wanted to.
My best gift was that I took the day off work and didn’t have a class either. I spent the day doing what I wanted for the first time since September 22 or so.
So my day was spent sleeping in, going to the mall for a few hours w/ my mom, going out to Red Lobster w/ my family and grandpa (the doctor - his b-day was the 5th, so dinner w/ him is like a tradition), and then firing up the hot tub in the backyard and soaking for half hour before ER was on. Oh, and Henry called like he said he would.
*shrug* Pretty uneventful day for the most part, I suppose. But I’m not complaining one bit!
And now… as usual… it’s:
>> the friday five < <
1. Did you vote in your last elections? Sure did. I’ve voted in every election since I turned 18 actually. My mom usually drags me along with her, and now that my brother’s 18, he gets dragged too!
2. Do you know who your elected representatives are? Some of them - but not too many… just the truly “local” ones for MI and of course the bigger offices
3. Have you ever contacted an elected representative? If so, what was it about? Nope, never have
4. Have you ever participated in a demonstration? Same as #3 - nope, never have.
5. Have you ever volunteered in an election? What was the result? Same as #3 and 4 - never have.
