the friday five

1. What was/is your favorite subject in school? Why? anything involving computers usually, because it usually comes easily to me and i understand it very well.

2. Who was your favorite teacher? there’s a few: maggie taylor (now lancaster) - HS world history/sociology/psychology; mrs. masselink & mrs. borst - 7th and 8th grade english; mr bashaw - chemistry. Why? because they made sometimes boring subjects interesting!

3. What is your favorite memory of school? lunch-coaching the autistic kids (and getting excused tardies every day, every other week in choir because of it)… or going on the field trip to the van andel museum downtown GR w/ my CAL kids. but the day i should have been in class but was excused cause of polo, and we beat three of the top teams in the state… that day is #1 in my mind probably.

4. What was your favorite recess game? in 4th grade, if it was nice outside, my teacher would always have us be quiet while the rest of the kids were in class and we’d go outside and play kickball

5. What did you hate most about school? the fact in HS that i ran out of “good” options for electives my jr/sr years, so i was stuck with some crappy classes. plus the fact that high schoolers can be SO extremely shallow and crap like that.
