Starting over again

Well, I got rather irritated trying to re-do my templates for this thing, plus my host service is in the process of changing around their servers… well, to make a long story short, my archives (minus what was still on the main page) are gone for good. I got a few error messages about missing files in my archives, and then decided to delete the rest and start from scratch again - which I don’t really mind a ton anyway. But like I said, I was able to save what was on the main page from before…

And please let me know what you think of my site now. Yes, I redesigned it today. I’m not 100% thrilled, but it will do for now.

just FYI, I won’t be on much in the next few days… my grandma (who’s 78) goes in for brain surgery monday, and it’s totally unexpected - they decided that she needed this this past wednesday. and so i don’t spend hours pacing mindlessly in the waiting room of ‘Blodge (a.k.a. Spectrum East now?) and driving everyone more insane than i currently do, i’m picking up a small pile of extra hours at ON for that day. i NEED to keep myself occupied, and i need to stay calm somehow… besides, i have tuesday off and with my luck, i’ll be stuck at the hospital then - unless kristin and her roommate julia are going to the mall, then i might hang out w/ them and keep myself occupied “shopping”.

and my family’s (mom especially) all a little paranoid at this point, you could say. because my neighbor went in for “routine” surgery a few years back (who was about my grandma’s age at the time) and had a stroke either during surgery, or right after… and she hasn’t been the same since by any stretch.

i don’t want to get more detailed than that in here though, because i will ramble endlessly and probably work myself up quite badly… but you know how to get ahold of me most likely if you want to listen to the rest.

Phew. A lot went on this week!

Let’s see… First off, I went to an autograph session kinda thing for Johnny Benson on Tuesday. On the way there, we saw Kyle Petty’s showcar/simulator and decided to swing by on the way home to see if anything was going on. If you want to hear the potentially awesome news (I think a lot of you have already though), e-mail me. And Hi Nick! *waving* LOL

Second, my night class is over and keeping with tradition, I got a 98.1% final grade. Yay!

Third, I am now a paid freelance web designer - THANKS AGAIN JOHNB! (And no, JohnB is not Johnny). But yeah, I’m now the news/results/points standings updater for ThunderBird Raceway in Muskegon. Link on portfolio page if you wanna check it out.

Fourth, I survived my MRI. *big cheer* Generic valium is a great relaxer… I was relatively “with it” the whole time (an hour and 15 minutes in there for 3 tests, I might add) yet it didn’t bug me being locked in there in the slightest… well, the contrast-agent IV part sucked a little. But anyway, I think I had better radiologists this time. In fact, I KNOW I had better radiologists.

Fifth, I’ve found my new favorite desk from my favorite furniture store in GR’s (D2 - Design Quest) catalog. I LOVE THIS THING!

And lastly, I won’t be home this weekend. Camping w/ the family and some of my dad’s coworkers. I should be home Sunday sometime… sooooooo e-mail me or leave a comment if you need to talk to me, and I’ll hit ya back when I can. Won’t have my cell w/ me.

OH! Before I forget. I also won a “bet” of sorts between me and my mom. She didn’t think I had the restraint for something rather specific, but I proved her wrong and for 30 days straight, I stayed away from it. And now she owes me a reward, you could say.

Life is great.

Slacker’s Back!

Well, sort of. From an entry-standpoint at least. But I’ve had a lot going on. Worked about 30 hours, did so much homework it’s probably crazy, and went to class and my brother’s b-day dinner this past week. (My brother’s 18 years old as of today - SCARY thought!) Plus Kristin and I are going to Berlin tonight - should be a blast.

However, this week is going to be equally as crazy.
Monday: Work and then class (if Katie, Jen and I get our group project done by the end of class Monday night, then no class Wednesday - but I also have an exam Monday)
Tuesday: (Grand Haven) beach and hair appt.
Wednesday: possibly Berlin (or class if we don’t get the project done Monday)
Thursday: work and my (valium-ed up…. LOL) MRI
Friday(night)-Sunday: Camping

So I’m working a grand total of *TWO* days this week, Mon. and Thurs. Now you know why I did 30 this week! Oh, and Laura and I are thinking of doing a little side business - but more on that later. We have to work out some logistics first by probably running up some big phone bills or draining a few pre-paid cards. Or massive e-mails.

Crap, gotta finish getting ready for work… More when I get another free minute!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *jumping up and down, so excited it’s sickening probably*

my best friend from my birth to about 8 years old just moved back from san diego and is working at my old navy now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (she’s 22 now, so she’s a little older than i am)

and kristin and i decided to go to berlin saturday night.. so that’ll be a ton of fun as well.
